| Obverse description | Dark blue letterpress on cream paper in Art Nouveau style. The central text block contains the issuing body's title, registered address at 71 Rue du Commerce, Roanne, and a handwritten-style printed notice of purchase, all within an elaborate guilloche border. Two allegorical winged female figures, rendered in fine intaglio line engraving, stand at either side as lateral vignettes, while the denomination numeral "5" appears in ornate cartouches at each corner. |
