Obverse description Black letterpress on brown-yellow paper. Two reclining cherub vignettes flank the central text field — one holding a sword at left and one holding a sledgehammer and compass at right — with the penal code warning inscribed between them. The composition is executed in an early engraved style characteristic of provincial Belgian note-issuing institutions of the 1830s.
Obverse lettering BANQUE LIEGEOISE ET CAISSE D`ÉPARGNES CINQ FRANCS PAYABLES A VUE. LA LOI PUNIT LE CONTREFACTEUR DES TRAVAUX FORCÉS A PERPÉTUITÉ.
