Beatrix abdicated on April 30, 2013 — Dutch King's Day, rebranded that year as Princess's Day for the last time before Willem-Alexander's accession shifted the holiday to his own birthday on April 27. Aruba, as a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, issued this piece to mark the transition. The abdication ended a 33-year reign; Beatrix was 75.
