| Obverse description | Central field bears the four-character Chinese legend 光緒元寶 (Guangxu Yuanbao) arranged vertically in two columns, denoting the Guangxu reign treasury coin. An outer ring of beads frames a circular legend reading 福建省造 (Fujian Province Made) at the top and the library weight inscription 庫平三分六釐 at the bottom, all rendered in bold relief Chinese characters. Small decorative rosette or floral ornaments appear in the field between the inner bead ring and the outer toothed border. Manchu script characters appear in the left and right fields within the inner bead circle, flanking the central inscription. The overall design is clean and typographically precise, consistent with late Qing provincial mint production. |
