| Reverse description | The reverse, also in dark olive-green on a light green guilloche ground, is dominated by a central oval medallion radiating fine engine-turned lines, at the centre of which sits the National Emblem of the People's Republic of China — the Tiananmen gate beneath a large gold star and four smaller stars. Flanking the central medallion are two rosette vignettes each bearing the denomination 伍分, while inscriptions in Uyghur (Arabic script), Tibetan, and Mongolian scripts are disposed around the central device. The year 1953 appears in a small cartouche at the foot of the central panel. |
