| Obverse description | The central field features an intricate, highly stylised geometric design inspired by the jewels of Mata Hari, rendered as a symmetrical four-lobed rosette composed of radiating faceted elements surrounding a central void, evoking the cut facets of a gemstone. The design is the work of artist Navid Nuur and fills the inner field in high relief. The legend WILLEM-ALEXANDER reads vertically along the left rim, while KONING DER NEDERLANDEN curves along the lower rim. The date 2018 appears at the top. A small Dutch lion privy mark is present on the lower left portion of the rim. |
