| Additional information |
Suske en Wiske — known in French-speaking Belgium as Bob et Bobette — debuted in the Antwerp newspaper De Nieuwe Standaard in 1945, the creation of cartoonist Willy Vandersteen. The series became one of the most translated Franco-Belgian comics in history, with over 270 million albums sold. Belgium has issued collector coinage around the franchise more than once, leaning on it as one of the few genuinely pan-regional cultural touchstones in a country that frequently struggles to find them.
The KM#411.1 designation separates the colour variant from a parallel non-coloured issue struck the same year.
