| Obverse description | The obverse of this nonagonal copper coin features a central star-shaped mandala composed of eight segments, each bearing a heraldic emblem representing one of the Austrian federal states, arranged symmetrically around a circular central boss displaying the large numeral '5'. The design, engraved by Helmut Andexlinger, combines the individual provincial coats of arms in a decorative geometric framework, creating a unified national motif.
