Reverse description The reverse features a central design derived from a Byzantine seal, depicting a haloed female saint — identified by the cartouche inscription 'ΑΓΙΑ ΜΑΡΙΝΑ' — standing in frontal view and raising a hammer in her right hand while subduing a demon figure at her left side. The saint is shown with a nimbus and robed in flowing garments consistent with Byzantine iconographic tradition. A circular legend in archaic Greek script runs along the inner border, reproducing the medieval seal inscription associated with the island of Kassos. The entire composition is rendered in a deliberately archaizing style evoking Byzantine ecclesiastical seals.
