| Obverse description | A large stylised letter 'V' dominates the field, its two diagonal arms framing five stacked inscriptions reading HUMANIDADE, IGUALDADE, DIGNIDADE, ESPERANÇA, and LIBERDADE in the upper register. To the lower right of the 'V' the Portuguese royal arms shield appears, accompanied by the date 2021 and the engraver's initials J.V. along the right margin. The denomination 5 EURO is inscribed to the left of the 'V' point, with PORTUGAL along the left rim. Along the lower arc, partially inverted, the mint name CASA DA MOEDA appears, and the legend NUNCA ESQUECER ('Never Forget') is boldly inscribed at the bottom of the coin. |
