Denmark has never issued a 5 Euro coin. Denmark is not a eurozone member and has not adopted the euro as legal tender; the country retained the Danish krone following the 1992 Maastricht Treaty opt-outs secured after the initial referendum rejection. No Danish euro coinage — collector, commemorative, or circulating — was produced in 1997.
