| Obverse description | Square flan designed to evoke a traditional Portuguese azulejo tile panel, with the field composed of a grid of individually coloured square tiles rendered in blue, green, brown, white, and grey tones. The legend PORTUGAL is inscribed horizontally across the upper portion of the field within white tile squares, while the denomination 5 EURO appears in similar fashion along the lower edge. The date 2025 is arranged vertically along the left side of the composition. The Portuguese coat of arms appears as an incuse relief within the tile arrangement in the right-centre field, integrating the national emblem seamlessly into the mosaic design. |
