Benito Jacovitti — known simply as Jacò — spent decades as one of Italy's most subversive comic artists, his work for Il Vittorioso and later Linus dense with visual chaos, anachronistic gags, and a recurring obsession with salami. This coin is part of a collector series celebrating Italian illustration and comics culture, a field the Zecca has mined with increasing enthusiasm since the 2010s.
Jacovitti died in 1997, meaning this issue is entirely posthumous — authorized through his estate.
