Obverse description Within a beaded hexagonal inner border, Saint Catherine crowned and kneeling right in prayer, positioned centrally in the field; to her left, a heraldic shield bearing the arms of Kremnica with a rose branch behind; to her right, a mine wheel device. The circular Latin legend runs around the periphery, interrupted by decorative floral and tool ornaments.

Reverse description Within a beaded hexagonal inner border, the upper field depicts a panoramic view of the Kremnica mining complex with mountains in the background; below, a modern bare-chested miner at left and a medieval miner at right flank a central column bearing crossed hammers and the inscription ZDAR BOH!, symbolizing the revival of mining. The Czechoslovak coat-of-arms appears in the exergue below, flanked by the fineness mark 987 and the designer's initials A·HÁM. The circular Slovak legend and date 1934 run around the periphery.
