Reverse description Full-length figure of Saint Leodegar (Léger), patron saint of Lucerne, depicted in full pontifical vestments including mitre and cope, seated in three-quarter view and holding a crozier in his left hand while raising his right hand in blessing. At his feet kneels a supplicant figure in a posture of submission. The circular legend LEODEGARIUS SANCTVS surrounds the composition, with LEODEGARIUS to the left and SANCTVS to the right. The engraving is of high quality, consistent with the medallic style associated with Johann Karl von Hedlinger.
