Reverse description The elaborately quartered royal arms of Denmark, Norway, and the Duchies are displayed on a large heraldic shield surmounted by a royal crown, occupying the central field. The quarters display three crowned lions passant with hearts (Denmark), a lion rampant (Norway), and additional dynastic arms including the Schleswig and Holstein devices, with an inescutcheon at the centre bearing further heraldic detail. A small dragon or wyvern appears below the shield as a supporter. The encircling Latin legend VANDAL GO THOR REX 1665 GK runs around the periphery, with the mintmaster's initials GK positioned at the base, all within a beaded inner border and toothed outer rim.
