| Obverse description | Draped and armored bust of Frederick August I facing right, wearing a flowing curled wig, ornate cuirass with decorative shoulder clasp, and a cravat, rendered in high relief in the Baroque style. The effigy is boldly executed and occupies the majority of the coin's field. The surrounding Latin legend reads D G FRID AUG REX POL DUX SAX I C M A & W, identifying the ruler by his titles as King of Poland and Duke of Saxony. The coin's border features a finely dentilated rim. |
