Reverse description A bold six-armed decorative cross dominates the field, its arms terminating in stylised lily or trefoil blossoms and flanked by additional floral sprays in the angles between the arms. At the centre of the cross, within an oval cartouche, the denomination V DUCAT is inscribed. The fineness mark 980 appears at the base of the lower arm. The surrounding legend, divided into two arcs by small rosette stops, reads PRO PROSPERITATE MUNDI above and AUREUS MAGNUS below.
