Reverse description Two figures, a man and a woman, are depicted clasping hands above a draped altar at center, a motif symbolizing the covenant or alliance with divine blessing. Above the handshake scene rises an anthropomorphic radiant sun with a human face, surrounded by rays emanating across the upper field. An encircling wreath frames the central group. The multiline Latin inscription BENEDICTVS · SIT · IEHOVAH · DEUS fills the field in several lines, with a star ornament and the denomination numeral 5 appearing in the lower portion, all in a formal engraved style consistent with Bernese goldsmithing of the period.
