Comments

Slowjamastan is a micronation declared in 2021 by Randy "R-Dub" Williams, a San Diego radio personality, on a small parcel of land in the Imperial Valley desert of California. The 5 Dubles note is part of the first currency series issued for this self-declared sultanate — a novelty issue, not a circulating instrument in any conventional monetary sense, but produced with enough physical seriousness to attract collectors of micronational ephemera.

The Duble has no exchange rate, no redemptive value, and no issuing bank behind it. That's not an oversight — it's the point.
