Obverse description Bare-headed portrait of King Constantine II facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair. The engraver's signature V. FALIREAS (Β. ΦΑΛΗΡΕΑΣ) appears beneath the truncation. The circular legend reads ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΣ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΩΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ (Constantine, King of the Greeks), with the date 1973 inscribed in the lower field flanked by two raised dots.

Reverse description A stylised phoenix rising with wings spread wide occupies the central field, representing national rebirth and commemorating the military coup of 21 April 1967. The date 21 ΑΠΡΙΛΙΟΥ 1967 (21 April 1967) is inscribed below the phoenix. The large numeral 5 dominates the lower centre, flanked by decorative spiral ornaments, with the denomination ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ (Drachmai) below. The circular legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ (Kingdom of Greece) runs around the periphery.
