Obverse description Bare-headed left-facing effigy of King Constantine II, depicted as a young man with neatly combed hair, rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail. The legend ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΣ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΩΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ (Constantine, King of the Greeks) arcs around the periphery. The date flanked by dots appears in the lower exergual area. The engraver's signature Β. ΦΑΛΗΡΕΑΣ (V. Phalireas) is inscribed in small letters below the portrait truncation.
