Reverse description Central device consisting of the ornate quartered royal arms of Savoy, displayed on an oval shield adorned with elaborate baroque cartouche mantling. The shield is surmounted by a royal crown. The Savoy cross is prominently featured in the quartering, rendered in fine detail. The encircling Latin legend DVX SAB ET MONTISFER PRINC PED & proclaims the ruler's titles as Duke of Savoy and Montferrat and Prince of Piedmont. The coin's border displays fine reeding consistent with the milled coinage of the Turin Mint.
