Additional information

The Marshall Islands has no domestic mint and issues commemorative coinage through licensing arrangements, typically struck by foreign facilities and sold directly to collectors — these pieces never circulate. Gagarin's 1961 Vostok 1 flight lasted 108 minutes, and he ejected from the capsule at altitude and parachuted separately, a detail the Soviets concealed for years because FAI rules at the time required pilots to land with their craft.
