| Reverse description | A detailed high-relief depiction of a rooster standing in profile facing right, with finely engraved plumage and prominent tail feathers occupying the central field. A small chick is shown to the lower right of the rooster. A square seal containing the Chinese character 雞 (rooster) appears in the lower left field. The denomination $5 is inscribed at the bottom of the field. The years of the Rooster in the Chinese zodiac cycle — 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, and 2005 — are arranged in a circular legend around the periphery, separated by raised dots. |

| Additional information |
Liberia's late-1990s commemorative program was essentially a commercial operation — the Central Bank licensed designs to foreign minting firms targeting collector markets with no meaningful domestic circulation intended. The Year of the Rooster dollar was part of a flood of Chinese lunar-themed issues produced for the international numismatic trade, with Liberia's name lending nominal sovereign authority to what were effectively privately marketed collectibles.
KM#360 is one of dozens of near-identical Liberian issues from this period sharing the same production pipeline.
