| Obverse description | The official seal of the Republic of the Marshall Islands occupies the central field, depicting a frigate bird in flight above a traditional Marshallese outrigger canoe and a sailing vessel on the horizon, with a radiant sun rising in the upper portion of the design. Crossed navigational sticks and a decorative floral motif appear in the lower field, and the word SEAL is inscribed on a banner at the base. The circumferential legend REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS arcs around the upper portion, while the national motto JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN curves along the lower rim. The denomination numeral 5 appears to the lower left and the date 1992 to the lower right of the central device. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
