Obverse description The obverse of this rectangular silver bar-coin displays the full coat of arms of Barbados in high relief at center, featuring a divided shield supported by a dolphin to the left and a pelican to the right, with two crossed sugar cane stalks as the crest above and a scroll bearing the national motto in the exergue. The legend BARBADOS is inscribed in bold capitals along the upper border of the field. Below the arms, the date 2021 is prominently struck, followed by the denomination 5 DOLLARS, and the fineness inscriptions 1oz and Ag .999 in the lower portion of the field. The antique finish imparts a matte, aged appearance to the entire surface, enhancing the sculptural depth of the design.
