| Obverse description | Central vignette carries an intaglio portrait of President Abraham Lincoln within an oval frame. To the left appear the Register's and Cashier's signatures of the issuing national bank, while the Treasurer's and President's signatures flank a brown Treasury seal to the right. The note bears the charter number and title of the issuing bank in letterpress, along with the obligation and redemption clauses standard to the 1929 Type 1 National Currency series. |
