Pick 52 is distinguished from the otherwise identical Pick 51 by a subtle but catalogued difference: the serial numbers on this issue are printed in uniform same-size digits, whereas Pick 51 uses ascending-size serials. It's a minor typographic change that Thomas De La Rue introduced mid-production, almost certainly as an anti-counterfeiting measure or a press-line update rather than any policy decision from Nassau.

The practical consequence for collectors is that the two types circulated simultaneously, making intentional sorting by variety essentially impossible at street level.
