| Obverse description | The obverse displays the national coat of arms of Palau at center, depicting a shield bearing a sea god (Neptune-like figure) holding a trident, accompanied by a mermaid, a treasure chest, and a crescent moon with a star above, all rendered in high relief. The shield is flanked by decorative floral and scroll supporters. Above the shield, a traditional Palauan outrigger canoe is shown in profile.
