| Obverse description | The central field features the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau, depicting a traditional outrigger canoe above an ornate shield containing a sea deity holding a trident, accompanied by a mermaid figure, set against a crescent moon and star. The shield is flanked by decorative floral mantling. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper periphery, accompanied by a ring of eight five-pointed stars. The series title RAINBOW'S END appears in the exergue of the shield, and the denomination 5$ is inscribed at the bottom of the field between two short decorative rules. |
