| Obverse description | The obverse bears the national arms of the Republic of Palau rendered in high relief at center, depicting two mermaids flanking a traditional sailing vessel on a shield, enclosed within an ornate cartouche. The curved legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs above the arms, with the series name RAINBOWS END inscribed within the lower portion of the shield.
