| Obverse description | The upper left quadrant of the obverse bears the national coat of arms of Palau, encircled by the legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU and punctuated by small stars, with the series title RAINBOW'S END inscribed on a scroll within the shield. To the left of the arms, the curved inscription ONE OUNCE OF LUCK is rendered in an elegant script, with the denomination 5$ positioned below the arms. The lower half and right portion of the field are richly decorated with a detailed high-relief floral composition featuring large blooms, buds, leaves, and swirling tendrils in a folk-art inspired style. The fineness mark SILVER .925 appears in the lower right field. |

| Additional information |
Palau has operated a prolific commemorative coin program since the 1990s, licensing its sovereign minting rights to European producers — primarily Austrian and Polish mints — who design and distribute themed issues with minimal involvement from Palau itself. The "Ounce of Luck" series falls squarely in that category: a retail product aimed at the gift and collector market, packaged around the four-leaf clover motif.
Gold-plated silver strikes of this type are notorious for inconsistent plating adhesion over time, particularly around high-relief edges.
