| Additional information |
Palau has issued silver bullion and collector pieces under licensing arrangements since the 1990s, with most production contracted to European mints rather than struck domestically — the republic has no mint of its own. The "Ounce of Luck" series capitalized on the four-leaf clover motif during a period when the secondary market for themed silver one-ounce pieces was expanding rapidly among European collectors, particularly in Germany and Austria where such issues found their strongest retail demand.
