| Additional information |
Hutt River Province — formally the Principality of Hutt River — was a self-declared micronation in Western Australia, established in 1970 when wheat farmer Leonard Casley seceded from Australia in a dispute over wheat production quotas. By the early 1990s, the principality had built a modest cottage industry issuing commemorative coinage for foreign events that had no connection to Hutt River whatsoever. Clinton's 1993 inauguration was simply marketable.
