| Obverse description | The obverse displays the national coat of arms of Liberia at center, depicting a shield bearing a three-masted sailing ship on the sea, a palm tree, and a rising sun, surmounted by a ribbon and flanked by decorative scrollwork. The arc legend 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA' curves along the upper periphery, while the motto 'THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE' appears on an inner arc surrounding the shield.
