| Obverse description | The obverse presents the exterior of a gold-plated silver coin struck in the form of a Hyriopsis cumingii freshwater mussel shell, with deeply textured relief faithfully replicating the natural ribbed and striated surface of the bivalve. At the centre, a heart-shaped shield serves as the primary design field, featuring a seated Neptune-like figure astride a large fish, accompanied by a mermaid to his right, a crescent moon, a star, and a trident in the upper field.
