| Obverse description | The full Barbados Coat of Arms occupies the central field, featuring a shield quartered with two sugar cane plants and a pride-of-Barbados (bearded fig tree), supported on the dexter side by a dolphin and on the sinister side by a pelican, both rendered in high relief. Above the shield sits a helmet with mantling and a crest depicting a hand grasping two crossed sugar canes. A flowing scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. The country name BARBADOS arcs along the upper legend, while the fineness specifications 1 oz and Ag 999 appear vertically in the left and right fields respectively. |
