Reverse description Full-length frontal depiction of Zhuge Liang, the celebrated Chinese military strategist and statesman of the Three Kingdoms period, rendered in highly detailed high relief with antique finish. He is portrayed in elaborate lamellar armor adorned with fine engraved motifs, wearing a traditional scholar-general's headdress, and holding a sword vertically before him. A gilded ornamental brooch set with a green jade-like gemstone cabochon is applied to his breastplate, providing a striking polychrome accent. A colossal Chinese dragon, intricately detailed with scaled body, fierce open maw, and clawed limbs, fills the field behind and around the figure. The Chinese characters 諸葛亮 (Zhuge Liang) are inscribed in the lower right field.
