| Obverse description | The obverse features the fourth-generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicting the Queen in right-facing profile wearing the Royal Diamond Diadem. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs above the portrait within a raised inner border, while the inscription NIUE ISLAND 2017 appears along the upper rim and FIVE DOLLARS along the lower rim. The fineness mark Ag 999 is noted in the right field. The outer border of the obverse displays an elaborate architectural coffered dome motif in high relief, lending a classical aesthetic consistent with the series theme. |

| Additional information |
Niue has functioned since the 1990s as a licensing vehicle for the New Zealand-backed numismatic market, issuing collector silver under its nominal sovereignty while the coins themselves are designed, marketed, and distributed entirely by external minting agencies — in this case almost certainly the Perth Mint or a European partner. The Zeus piece belongs to a Greek Gods series that proliferated across the collector market in the mid-2010s, when 2 oz. high-relief silver rounds in this format saturated dealer inventories globally.
KM#1500 is a catalog assignment, not evidence of a deep numismatic tradition. Strictly a collector item with no circulation history.
