Additional information

The Victoria Memorial depicted on this issue stands on the Mall in London, completed in 1913 — making 2013 its centenary year, which is precisely why this coin exists. The memorial was designed by sculptor Thomas Brock, who received his knighthood on the very day of its unveiling by George V.
