| Obverse description | Right-facing diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing a tiara and draped bust, centered within a plain rectangular field. The legend ELIZABETH II and COOK ISLANDS appears in two lines above the portrait in incuse capital lettering. The denomination 5 DOLLARS is inscribed in the lower field beneath the bust. At center, a rectangular color-inlay depicts the Ferrari prancing horse (Cavallino Rampante) shield emblem in vivid yellow with the Italian tricolor stripe at the top and the FERRARI wordmark below the horse, applied in polychrome enamel.
