| Reverse description | The reverse reproduces a detail from Gustav Klimt's celebrated 1907–1908 masterpiece 'The Kiss', rendered in full polychromatic color with gold finishing. The composition depicts two intertwined figures in a tender embrace, set against an ornate gold-leaf background richly decorated with geometric and floral motifs characteristic of Klimt's Vienna Secession style. The elaborate robes of the figures are rendered with intricate patterning in gold, black, and floral tones, faithful to the original oil-and-gold-leaf painting housed in the Österreichische Galerie Belvedere in Vienna. This piece forms part 2 of a 15-coin series dedicated to Klimt's works. |
