| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. The portrait is the fourth definitive effigy sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II is inscribed along the upper left arc, with 5 DOLLARS to the upper right and COOK ISLANDS continuing along the right arc. The date 2011 is positioned in the lower exergue beneath the portrait. |
