Additional information

Cook Islands has issued religious-themed silver in volume since the mid-2000s, largely through the Mint of Poland and aimed squarely at the Catholic collector market in Central Europe. St. Tatiana — a third-century Roman martyr venerated in both Eastern and Western Christianity — is an unusual choice for a Pacific island protectorate with no particular historical connection to her cult, which remains strongest in Russia, where she is patron saint of students.
