Obverse lettering ELIZABETH II D•G•REGINA 1952 •••• 2022 5 DOLLARS
(Translation: Elizabeth II, Queen by the Grace of God)
Reverse description The reverse presents a naturalistic spray of four gold-plated red maple leaves (Acer rubrum) on a shared stem, rendered in exceptional sculptural relief against a frosted silver field in reverse proof finish. The leaves are depicted with fine vein detail and natural curvature, their gold plating providing a vivid contrast to the matte silver ground. The legend CANADA arcs along the upper rim, while FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR curves along the lower periphery. The date 2024 and the purity designation 9999 appear in the field to the lower left and right of the central motif respectively, with the engraver's initials CG also present in the field. The gold-plated rim frames the entire composition.
