| Obverse description | Right-facing diademed and draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, rendered in the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy with finely engraved hair and jewelled crown. The portrait is set within a recessed inner field, with the engraver's initials IRB incused below the truncation. The surrounding legend reads ELIZABETH II to the left, TOKELAU and the date 2023 across the top, and 5 DOLLARS / 1oz 999 Ag to the right. The Tokelau national emblem — a stylised flag bearing the Southern Cross and a traditional canoe sail — appears at the bottom of the inner border. |
