Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a diamond diadem, executed in high relief after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The bust is set within an inner oval frame against a subtly iridescent field. The legend ELIZABETH II and NIUE appears below the portrait in two lines, flanked by ornate foliate and acanthus scroll motifs, while the denomination 5 DOLLARS is displayed on a cartouche at the base. The date 2014 is inscribed at the top of the inner oval, above an elaborate decorative arrangement featuring a crown, olive branches, and oak sprigs.
