Reverse description The reverse depicts a peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus) captured in a dramatic mid-air stoop, wings partially folded and talons extended in a hunting strike posture. The bird's plumage, facial markings, and feather detail are rendered with high relief and naturalistic precision. This design represents the first issue of a biannual Birds of Prey bullion series produced by the Royal Canadian Mint. The legend CANADA and the fineness and weight inscriptions are distributed around the central motif. The coin was issued in both standard bullion and proof collector formats.
