| Obverse description | The right-facing diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, occupies the upper portion of the design within an elaborate concentric spiral framework of polished and frosted fields. The outer legend reads ELIZABETH II and NIUE ISLAND, separated by fleur-de-lis ornaments and star devices. In the lower left, a circular cartouche displays the denomination FIVE DOLLARS with the numeral 5 at centre, surrounded by a dotted border; to the right, a crowned royal cypher E appears within a laurel wreath. The fineness mark Ag 999 and the date 2014 are inscribed in the field, with the Czech Mint mark CM also present. |

| Reverse description | The central design features a prominent gold-plated high-relief depiction of the Virgin Mary of Stará Boleslav — the Palladium of the Czech Lands — shown facing slightly left, veiled and draped in flowing robes, cradling the infant Jesus in her arms. The figures are rendered in a Romanesque devotional style, faithful to the historic original relief dated 1609. The surrounding field is divided between a deeply contrasted black-frosted inner zone bearing radiating star devices and a polished outer band carrying the inscribed legend. The circular legend reads PALLADIUM STARÁ BOLESLAV around the upper arc and ZEMĚ ČESKÉ around the lower, with the date 1609 appearing in the exergue area, all separated by star and dot ornaments. |
